Just like to introduce myself really,
My name is Phil, as you can guess from my user name.
I Too suffer from Panic, and anxiety from Panic, and more recently depression, and just a general lack of motivation, caused from my anxiety i believe:unsure: . Unfortunatley i have had a real bad couple of days, to the point where i am like a wave machine, and really am dreading everything. I know its my fault for dwelling on these feelings and thaughts. I really am trying to think positve, but as i have never been this bad for so long, i can't help it, i feel i have hit ROCK BOTTOM.

I know i am not alone, but i think i have been in denial for a long time,
and have managed to control Panic, or at least but it right at the back of mind where it wasn't effecting my everyday life for Years. I am normaly a very happy go lucky, confident person, who enjoys life:mad: , Now it feels like i'm building a wall, and avoiding ANY situation if i can, it doesnt help i work from home, don't socialise much, and We have had the worst 2 summers if you can call them that ever!! lol..

I hope that wasn't too much Neg, I am trying to be +++, its just not easy, and could do with a little support, and hopefully contribute, and help as much as i can as well.

Regards,
P:)

You know what Phil, I think part of the problem can be pretending all is ok when it is not, a little negativity/ranting/ is good, get it out to people who understand you.

Hugs and welcome:welcome:

:welcome: Hi Phil
that wave machine analogy is spot on.There is a brilliant book called 'self help for your nerves' by Dr claire Weekes available from the NMP shop and also free downloads to your MP3 of her work. I cannot recommend this enough as it really explains what is happening to us and how we can recover.Glad you have found us.

Thanks for dropping by my introduction Post everyone to welcome me,
its means a lot. I have spent some time looking through posts, and getting a feel of the site, and i must say its great and reasuring that i am not on my own here :-),

Veronica, Thanks for that advice i will check out the book,
I finally got myself destracted enough to stop the cycle, but jesus did i have some pent up adrenaline!, i felt like i could run a marathon.. ( i wish ) i took the dog for a fast paced walk.

I feel better at the moment, a lot of it is down to me stressing, as i work from home, and am my own boss, own hours, alone all day. Today i am just having a lazy day and going to try not to get anxious...

Wow Thanks for that Veronica, i just spent 2 - 3 hours listning to it,
and i totally understand it, I can't believe how she describes it to the letter,
it was like she was talking about me!!.. I havn't cried in years!, but i did to that, it was a lot to accept though. I am looking forward to recover, i know it won't be easy but small small steps. I havn't got agrobia yet, but it is / was getting to that stage, but yet i still wouldn't accept that i was ill.

I strongly recomend to anyone reading this to give those mps's a real listen when you have got the time.
