Hi.

I had my first panic attack about a week ago and it was awful. I am wondering will I get another panic attack now that I have had one? Do I actually suffer from them now? What brings a panic attack on?

hi Scooby,

It's different for everyone. What will bring on another panic attack is your fear of having one. You have one, you get scared and so you have another one - it's a vicious cycle. Do you feel anxious/panicky the whole time?

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.

Hi Lu

Please take time to read through the site, there is lots of good information that will help you.
I have talked to many people since i suffered PA and it shocked me
just how many of them have had a PA sometime in there life.
Most of them had 1 or 2 and have never had a PA since.
The lady next door to me said she had PA when she was about 20
years old, she has not had one since and she is 70 now.
For me, since finding this site I am panic free[^]
As Sarah says we are all different and as Meg says, you may never
have another one.
