Irishhhhhhhhhh - answer to your question - yes the people are very friendly there I'm not just saying that because I come from there lol but they are a lovely bunch of people.

Whereabouts in Yorkshire?

I am orginally from North Yorks. Lived in West Yorks for a couple of years and South Yorks for a few years.

It is friendly ( I did live in London for a while and I missed dawdling around and just chatting with people I hardly knew) and can be great to get to the countryside and coast ( depends where you are).

I live on the border between Sheffield and Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Yorkshire is such an amazing place, you'll love it. Bit grim in winter though.
