i HAVE CHECKED MY BP & IT READ 125/84 AT FIRST ( LEFT HAND SIDE)


iVE CHECKED AGAIN & IT READS 153/70 THEN AGAIN 147/92. iMVERY
ANXIOUS. dOES ANYBODY HAS THE SAME READING.
PLS HELP ME OUT .iVE HIGH PA NOW.

I think you are suffering from something similar to the white coat syndrome.

Many people that go to the doctors are anxious and when they have their B/P taken it rises. This is what is happening to you the more you take it the more anxious you are getting the more it rises.

Can I ask you WHY you are taking your B/P have you been advised to by your doctor?

Janvi, these home kits are very unreliable, and are unlikely to give 3 readings exactly the same. You will notice that the readings change when you hold your arm in a slightly different position. Please don't accept these readings, and I would advise you to put the machine in the loft or give it to a friend, it has no use whatsoever to a person who suffers from HA.

I agree with both responses. White coat syndrome or any type of anxiety can cause a sudden jump in BP. Electronic cuffs are also not always the most reliable. Manual readings are usually the best choice. I wouldn't worry about it too much. :) I also noticed that it appears you checked it several times in a row which can also alter the reading.
