sharp pain

i keep getting a sharp shooting pain in my left side just under my armpit. it stops me in my tracks. it only lasts for a few seconds. im coming up 45 and may be peri menopausal. would this have anything to do with it?? i suffer from panic attacks and this is making my anxiety even worse. any advice would be so welcome. thanx

Sounds odd but maybe you are sleeping funny on it and it is purely a ripped or torn muscle / ligament.
