Been seeing a CBT therapist for a few months now. Gone through all the reasons why, doing modo sheets etc, challenging automatic thoughts etc.

Found it difficult at first, but now not so bad at doing them. I do one and it seems 'OK'.

Unfortuantely, 10 mins later I'm worrying about the same thing again.

Now, it all seems like a good idea this CBT, but I cant help thinking, is this all it is? Or am I doing something wrong? How do I force these alternative postivie thoughts into my head? Should I be contstantly re-reading what I've written?

I went through some of this a while ago, but I didnt find it benefitted me at all really, it just felt like a waste of time and I was glad to get out of the place!

Practice it over and over and yes keep reading it.

In time it will stick but you have to work at it.

CBT is not a quick fix or a miracle therapy.

Hopefully you will get some benefit soon.
