I just wonder what dates at the weekend everyone is free in either March or April and if anyone has any suggestions on where to go? Just to say I can't do the weekend of March 21st but im ok for any other weekend during March and April.

Im halfway between pompey and winchester and would be up for meeting aslong as it was somewhere near public transport as I cant drive :-)

ok well i definitely am going to decide on a date an venue and i will let you all know around the first week of March. In the meantime if you have got ideas for the venue and if there are any dates on a saturday or sunday that you cannot make in March or April then please either pm me or let me know on this forum.

Here's my preference of venue type:

Weather permitting, I think a pub garden would suit me most due to its space. It lessens the effect of feeling trapped and encourages me to talk freely without being overly concerned by whether other tables are earwigging! In case of rain, then anywhere spacious really. And with a roof of course.

Exact location is not a problem for me, I don't mind travelling. It'll do me good.

Ideally we can draw up a shortlist of two or three and recce them via photos on their websites, as has been done before here.

How does that sound?

I wouldn't actually mind going to the Alverbank in Gosport for the first meet as it has a large spacious garden and then if this is going to be a regular thing then we can arrange meets in Winchester or Southampton etc. I can send people a link of bus/train times depending on where they have got to travel from or I can meet people at Fareham Bus or Railway Station if they wish. We will have to meet during the day as to allow people time to get back to their destinations. How does that sound everyone?
