How do I go about this? Im looking to try it as Ive tried everything else lol

Do I need to ask my doctor to be referred? I have an appointment on Friday see. Or do I go about finding a place myself?

My mum thinks I wont be alloud to get referred though unless I have tried medication or other means before though and Im reallynot being put on medication ha.

Thanks.

Yes you will need a referral from your GP to get it on the NHS

I went through my GP, CBT through MIND. Was about 2 months wait. 6 free sessions on NHS.

You can be refferd with out being on meds! But talk to your GP, or your local Comunity Mental Health Center
Good Luck

You won't have to have been on meds. the gp would prefer to cure you without any need for medication and i would try the cbt approach before you have meds because that can cause a whole lot of problems in itself. i also rate the CBT for dummies book great buy :)
