ibs question- loperamide/immodium users

hi guys

I take loperamide when my ibs is playing up

What i want to ask is can you take it when you dont need to but know you will.

I have a meeting in work on friday all day and there is going to be no opportunity to leave and go to toilet and i dont want to get an attack and be leaving every 5 mins- i no that if i take a tablet ill be good and if i dont atke a tablet ill get nervous and then it will start.

do you think it would do any damage to you or cause any side effects .

Its fine to use loperamide to prevent an attack :) If you are worried you can always have a word with your pharmacist x

Yes it will be fine short term.

I was advised to take immodium if I needed to travel any distance or were unable to get to a loo quickly.

It will be one less thing to worry about in the meeting then
