Ihaven't been following your posts so I don't know how you are.

Are you worried? A lot of people are on 225 of Effexor. Out of interest has the Effexor helped you? I'm on 150mg. I find it an okay med, no real bad side effects and I eat and sleep well on it. Hasn't done wonders for my depression though.

I've been fine on them! Was on 150mg for ages and was fine. They saved my life (literally!- I was in a dreadful state) Started to slip due to pressure at work. I'm now on 225mg. Just for a while! Its fine. I've been taking them for about 5 years! Fluctuate between 75mg a day to 225mg a day depending on how I'm feeling.

I've found once you start taking them, increasing the dose really isn't a problem. No real side effects. They do take at least a month to start working when you increase them though.

They've made such a difference to my life! I can go to work and socialise and 'be normal'.

Give it a go and see how you feel.

Hi
I'm taking 300mg a day and have been fine. I have to agree with Mabel...they saved my life and at one point I was on 375mg a day. I have to take it for five years according to my psychiatrist and then it is up to me to decide.
To begin with I felt a bit 'odd' but that wore off after a couple of weeks.
I feel normal again.....as normal as I can get anyway! Haven't been off work for over a year and life is fab.
