Anxiety and ear/face pain

Hi

I've recently been to doctors who said that I had catarrah in the ear which was causing pain.

Ive also been googling, I know many think you shouldn't but, I've read that there is a connection between anxiety and ear pain...

I'm not worrying about it, I'm just want to know whether anyone else has experienced anxiety and face/ear ache. I feel really low from it and am convinced the two are connected in my case. Being ill is/has been my opt out mechanism.

can you get ot fixed the thing in your ear? that would be great if it helped your anxiety.
oh and whats a catarrah? is it an ear infection?
