View Full Version : Geographic Tongue
Anyone else have this? Or am I the only one?
It's doing my head in. I've had it for nearly a year and now it hardly ever goes away.
Get scared it's related to HIV or something, despite the negative tests.
Aaaggghhh!

Can you tell us what it is please?
That's a no, then!

Most say it's benign, but like most things, seen in an increased number of HIV patients.
It's constant for me and I really struggle. Wasn't there before...now it is.

Ok thanks
Well it doesn't look that serious to me. It says....
Although geographic tongue may look alarming, it doesn't cause any health problems and isn't associated with infection or cancer.
Didn't see anything about HIV though and you have been tested so you will be fine.
