Hi guys

I stood in front of a room full of people and told them all what a wonderful website, forum and chat room this is.
(Remember I said I was going to mention it at the next Service User Reference Group Meeting - as I thought some of our members would find it useful.)

Well I did it. :D

But I was too scared to get the bus there and ended up going in a taxi.
And I was too scared to get the bus home - so Steve came to pick me up and take me back home.

How is it possible?

A bus ride there :( No can do
A room full of people :D No problem at all.

You think if I was going to be a chicken I would be a proper chicken and be scared of all of it.

Does anyone else have this randomness or is it just me?

Liz,

I remember when you didn't get off the sofa -

so very well done for all your achievements and the reality is you got there and back and did it - maybe not in the planned way but hey - thats ok some days too.

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.
How big is your gallery ?

Well done Liz and thanks for the plug of the site.

I know what you mean though. I can meet people, have no probs with socials, I can do presentations and run courses, stay away alone, be alone at home, I even go to the dentist ... but .....

put me in roadworks and I freak!!!

I think we all have our limitations of what we can and can't do comfortably. We are all different I guess.

Things that I can do others find hard and normal things like driving can freak me out! We are all different.

You did great within your boundaries like I do.

Thanks Guys

I feel better for that :D

So I didn't get the bus ...

But I got dressed, got the kids out to school, took Bunny to the vets (again) and still made it to the meeting in one peice.
So I guess it wasn't all bad.[^]

Maybe you had a job to do and that was to get a message across to people who could benefit from what you had to say, and that is easier than having to deal with a bus full of people.

Hey I can deal with 15 3 year olds and that is far less daunting than walking into an empty shop or a full one come to think of it.

You did brilliantly

Well done
