Anxiety and ear ringing

Dear All

I have been having bad anxiety lately, even in my sleep. I have noticed sometimes when it's quiet I can hear a faint high pitched constant tone ( I guess you could call it ringing) in my ears. It's not a constant thing but I wondered whether the tension of anxiety can cause this. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? Thanks in advance!

I also wondered whether there is such a thing as total silence or do our ears produce their own sounds, if that makes sense.

Its called tinnitis. I have the same problem. Mine is caused by iron deficiency. Its annoying isnt it. Look it up online, its very common x

I have it too. I think mine is caused from ear infections i've been having but i'm seeing an ENT on monday about it! I was wondering the same thing like if you ever have complete silence!
