Hi!
This may sound a bit ridiculous, but I've noticed that I've got a lump on my chest.

I can't help but to get a bit scared, and I really want to know if this can be cancer, or if its just a muscle...

I don't really exercise that much, so why I would get one pumped muscle right there, is beyond me. I'm pretty skinny, overall :)

I wonder if a cancer lump can act as a muscle?

And a theory about the "lump", is that during a long time I carried all my schoolbooks in a backpack. It weighed sooo freaking much, and i usually carried it on my left shoulder. Would that make my right abdominal muscles get more exercise? Cause it's pretty big, and it looks rather odd...

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi there

I wouldnt worry hun, its sounds like its a muscle to me. I have one muscle on the left hand side on my shoulder blade that stands out alot more than the one on my right. I get little exercise too its just the way our bodies are made:) .

Try not to worry
:hugs:

Thank you very much for the reply, Andrea. :)

I guess I can be a bit of a hypochondric sometimes... But hey, who doesn't care about their health? :)

It feels much better know, I'll try not to worry about it!
Thx yet again.

Glad you are feeling better:) .

I always rememeber my GP telling me that our bodys are much like a bunch of grapes, not one segement is the same as the other even though they look the same.

You go enjoy your Saturday hun and try not to worry !

Could be anything from lipoma (absolutely harmless fatty tissue growth) mioma (growth in the muscle tissue) to a simple muscular particularity. Why do you jump directly from "lump" to "cancer"? Ive noticed I had "lumps" in my neck 20 yrs ago. Nothing to worry about. :)

I guess its something muscular, i have the same thing on my neck now after a long time of tension in shoulders and neck.
