I have a thing about taking medication. Most of my life I have even avoided pills for a headache. I really don't like taking a beta blocker, because the list of potential side effects really scare me.
When I was discharged from hospital, I stopped taking them after two days. It was silly really because they had not even began to have an effect. With my pulse at 140+ and my heart going like an erratic pendulum, and with no let up, I decided that they were the lesser of two possible evils, and reinstated them.
I would be very interested to know if and how any of you got off the BB's and how you manage without them.
The BB I am taking is metoprolol I would also be interested to know how you get on with them.
