Hi I have been having a stabbing pain in the middle of my back on and off for three weeks. This week its really bad with both my shoulders really aching, feels like a brick between them. Doctor shrugged it off and said its muscular, they when i breath in it hurts.

Hurts when i wake till i go to bed, ive been worrying about lung and esophageal "C". Ive read constant back back in the upper middle area can be a referred pain for either of the above, without other symptoms.

Am really worried, going to see a specialist tomorrow, if it was muscular though would it be slightly getting better ??

I have alot of these pains between shoulder blades and up in my neck and on the side of my head.
The pain stays for some days and then disapear and comes back after a while again.
For me i know its cause of all my tension.
I often notice i tense my shoulders and neck cause of anxiety.

I go swimming and and take a sauna after that, it helps.
Also massage and acupunture helps.

Cheers for that, I seem to get full chest tightness, not sure if that is to do with my anxiety, Im presuming so, maybe because I can still feel the muscle ache in the morning its sets off my worrying which inturn sets off the tightness. I just hate having to put everything down to anxiety when the feelings are so very real. It can be very confusing, and tiring, im always fatigued without proper reason.

I know its hard to think its anxiety, i too have the ache even if i am not anxious.
But i guess it takes time to get the muscles relaxed after a long time tension.
Fatigued, YES, big time.

Try shifting your position when breathing, like extend your arms or something, then take in a breath. Does it hurt everytime you take a breath or just in certain positions?

Its there all the time in the middle, but radiates into my shoulders.

If I roll my shoulders I can feel it loads, they feel very tight and hunched..
