Sudden Joint Pain...

Hi all,

I suddenly have pain in both thumb joints and pain in my left shoulder. its quite bad and just come on suddenly. Is this anxiety?, i have been highly stressed recently and I have been waking up after about 2 hours sleep and ive got teeth and jaw problems from grinding my teeth. Advice would be appreciated

Hi

Sounds very much like the anxiety causing this. You are more than likely tensing your muscles. Have you tried muscle relaxation exercises or even going for a warm bath? Also, when lying down relax your jaw by keepnig you teeth apart but your mouth closed and slow down the old breathing. Should help.

Sounds like it to me, when I was at my worst I would get pains in my joints, specifically fingers and toes and wrists, even went to the docs convinced I had the start of arthritis....anxiety AGAIN!!
