Just to update you all.... and share the latest on my Ectopics..... and hopefully reassure many of you in a similar situation that all is not hopeless.

I had my ECG on Monday 23rd and all seems to be normal which is fantastic news... however, I still have those dreaded palpitations and thumping in my tummy (when heart appears to miss a beat, when in fact its an extra beat:ohmy: ) so, I requested I undergo 24hr monitoring so they could see the extent of the palps/misses etc which seem to be with me all day, every day! :scared15:

The next day, I went back to see the heart specialist (lucky enough to have one in our local Med Ctr) and he was very happy with the ECG reading. I told him that I had been experiencing this since middle of Jan and although it was pretty bad at first, I have now come to terms with it and basically ignore it, although, there are occasions when it so obvious, i.e. when I get stressed/anxious, after eating or when trying to get to sleep! He said that I should congratulate myself as I have done very well so far, which means I am have taking back control:yesyes: He explained the Autogenic system has given over to the 'sympathetic' due to stress/anxiety (adrenaline) and now I have an imbalance - I knew this anyway!!! I asked him what I could do further to prevent these attacks and he recommended Yoga/Meditation.

OK, so my next step is to embark upon stress management and some counselling as well as Yoga.

I hope this information goes some way to reassure a lot of us who are pre-disposed to stress/anxiety and wish you all success in your journeys to overcome these awful but benign symptoms.
