And feeling worse than ever. Although the team are really professional and the unit spotless....a little compassion and friendliness would have gone a long way.
I don't think I have ever felt so alone.
And now another wait.
They say the Consultant will have results in 48 hours. Do I call her on Friday or wait for my appointment on the 1st?

Sorry for the misery guts.

I would ring too sweety. Get it out the way and there is absolutely nothing worse than unfriendly medical professional.

It really maks the already crazy anxiety much worse.

I'm so sorry petal

Aaaawwww Pegs i'm sorry that the staff at the hospital were unfriendly. There's nothing worse than being anxious and being met by uncompassionate hospital staff.

I agree with Amanda, ring her Friday hun.

Thinking of you hun

Hello Peggy,

I sometimes wonder why staff are so uncaring - they must realise it is an ordeal for most people - a few kind words can go a long way.

I would definitely phone Friday - hopefully your mind can be put at rest.

Thank you all for your kind words!
I feel so washed out and depressed over this lot. The staff were not 'shirty' or anything.....just COLD.
I have a bloody head-ache now....something I never get!

When I went for a CT scan, they were really cold too. I spoke and they didn't even respond, they just said, lie on the couch and I looked round and they had disappeared into the next room!

Oh pegs I'm so sorry you had a s**tty time of it. It must have been stressful and scary and at times like that you really need a friendly cheerful face. I agree with the others: I think the not knowing is probably the worst part of this. Once you know what's what you can either get on and deal with it, or put it behind you altogether and breath a sigh of relief.

Have a big glass of wine and a good night's sleep and we are here for you.

Poor you Pegs - how horrid - they were the same at my MRI - just as if I wasn't really there. Give them a call - you'll only worry otherwise. Will be thinking of you.
