View Full Version : Question About Urine Dipsticks
If anyone has used them, when you check for Leukocytes (white blood cells) pr anything else, you're supposed to ignore any color changes after the one or two minutes on the instructions. For the leukocytes, it's supposed to turn tan or purple, depending on how much you have. Mine gets a small lavender spot. If I leave it out for a while, it does turn purple on its own. Has this happened to other people?
You are supposed to wait 60 seconds then take the result...the darker the colour will indicate a more prominent or positive result. So for the higher number of leucocytes or PH or blood or protein, glucose, ketones or whatever will be a more positive results to infection etc.
Feel free to mail me for some advice xx
