I am really scared about my ultrasound tomorrow. I really think I have kidney or ovarian cancer but am not sure if they are even checking my ovaries.
The letter says US Urinary Tract, US Lower Abdomen.

I am really scared that is something bad.... :weep:

I think lower abdomen would include your ovaries sweetheart but I'm sure everything will go okay.

Let me know what happens.

Sending you lovely wishes and thoughts.

Hey darling,

I have had this too - mine was kidney stones! Really rare apparently as I am a 22 year old (usually only old people get them) and a female (usually in males!) but they are completely harmless, I am sure it is nothing bad! Hopefully you will have something just as easily fixed and just as harmless!

Don't worry, the ultrasound itself is uncomfortable but not painful at all, and this could be anything, but sounds to me like they are bothered more about your water system than your ovaries sweetheart (your bladder is in your abdomen area; I bet that's what they're looking at, exactly the same as me!).

Plus, try to remember this is just your anxiety making things seem worse; it is so common to always think the worst when you are an anxious person, but 99 times out of 100 it is something completely harmless.

Hope you are OK, keep us posted,

Danny xxx

Thanks, it is at 1.50 today :( Very worried that they will find something horrid. I don't want to look, you don't have to do you?

They won't find anything (apart from a missing sock that is) so please don't worry.:flowers:

The woman was very cold and miserable, I wish they'd be a bit more friendly!
She didn't say anything, but pressed around a lot. I focused on a plug that said 'hospital property' as it made me laugh - who would steal a plug!?
Anyway she made me empty my bladder and then did some more scanning.
At the end I asked her what she thought and she said she didn't see anything untowards....and the report would go to the GP. So I am pleased there was nothing really sinister... but worried about what is causing the pain now.
