View Full Version : Sertraline advice - PLEASE help!!!
A week ago I increase my dose of Sertraline from 75mg to 100mg. I haven't felt so good in ages! Then, after a week, the effects of the increase stopped, and I feel as bad as before! How can this be? Why would the drug work so well for a week and then stop?
Has anyone else experienced this? Does it kick in again?
Please help!!!
I have no clue. I just started sertraline myself (day 2). How long did have you been taking it?
I've been taking it for about 5 years, but only increased to 100mg last week.
Well, I think I would call your GP, but maybe it is just your bodies way of readjusting for now. Tomorrow oculd be differet,
i've had that too. in hospital in feb and they increased mine from 100 to 150 and i felt good whebn i came out of hospjital but now feel s**t. going to see my psych on wednesday so see what he says,

It's bizarre! It's as if the body gets a shock for a week (being on a higher dose) then reverts to the anxiety again!
I phoned the Consultant Psychiatrist today. He told me it's quite common to experience an immediate improvement when increasing dosage, only to find it seems to stop working a week later. He said the reason is unknown, but it can take 4-5 weeks for the increase to start having its desired effect.
Week 4. Same as before. I hope this works soon...
