Have posted several times about stabbng eye pain that comes and goes during the dday for last few weeks.Peopla have been great but am feeling so so scared . Just don't know what to do. I have bben to my GP 3 times now. Given migralive at first. then told to come off them, then give Amopran which I've taken to no effect. How can I go back? I'm sure she just thinks 'here she goes again' and why shouldn't she? I've had HA for about 20 years. So many investigations all negative. But I'm sure I have a tumor. How can I have such specific pain and not have one? Why should anyone believe me. My husbamd tries to understand but has had enough. He doesn't even want me to be on this website because he feels it si more reassurance that I am seeking. I'm feeling desperate. Can anyone help?

Hi

Stabbing eye pain can be caused by all sorts of things and not one of them being anything serious. It can vary from drinking coffee to sitting in front of a computer for too long. It is just the HA making you think that it is something worse. You have been checked out by your GP and you are fine.

This website can be very heplful, but your husband may have a point.

DO YOU WANT TO HAVE AN OUTPATIENTS APPOINTMENT WITH EITHER A NEUROLOGOST OR AN EYE SPECIALIST, MAYBE THAT WILL PUT YOUR MIND AT REST. iT IS YOUR CHOICE.

It must be so hard for you - I need reassurance all the time too, and faith is probably right that you need to get this checked out for your own peace of mind.
