Combination: Remedy for depression and contraceptive pill

Hello! I've recently decided to come off citalopram but wanted to continue with a natural remedy. A long time ago I used to use St. John's Wort but now I can't because i'm on the pill (contraceptive). Does anyone know off any herbal remedies that don't interact with the pill or have advice on something else I could use?

Hi ! there is a list of things you can try on the Remedies section on the Main Menu. Did your recent spell of depression start after you started on the pill? i ask as some contraceptive pills can cause depression!! hope you manage to find something that works for you. Luv Sue

Thanks :) I'll have a look at it. The depression has been spiralling for a number of years. The pill may well have made it worse, might try a non-hormonal method!
