Coming off Citalopram - advice

Hi guyz

I have been on these meds for eight weeks, i started on 20mg then after an awful start my doctor upped my dose to 40mg (on 40 for one week) im back down to 20 and really dont know why the doc put me on them in the first place as im not depressed and suffer from very mild anxiety form time to time which is more than managable.

I want to come off them with immediate effect and am looking for some advice of how to ??

any help appreiciated
