Tongue sore on antibiotic

I have tonsillitis and have been on erythrmycin since Sunday, For the past couple of days Ive notice my tongue is feeling abit sore looked at it and looks like the taste buds, are up and look red. Rang doctor he said might be thrush but to carry on taking tablets until they finished.

As you can imgine my anexty is really sky high. Im really worried my tongue is going to swell up and stop me breathing or im haveing a reaction to the tablets. Please can any one give me reasurance or has any one taken these tablets before. Sorry im rambling on very panicky x thank you x

Hi there

It probably is a spot of thrush...not very nice and can go right through to your bottom or fanny.
Get some Daktarin mouth gel....works well.

Thank you for replying. I went to the pharmacy to get some gel but said its not worth getting it yet until ive finished my antibiotics which is sunday. I got some tesco light choices natural bio yogurt will that do the trick? x
