My son is home for Easter from Uni at the moment and also celebrates his 20th Birthday on 27th (will be the first Birthday ever he hasn't been here :weep:)

We decided to have a couple of days out and also celebrate his Birthday today as he goes back to Uni on Sunday.

Yesterday we went to West Midlands safari park and today we went bowling and to Pizza Express :D

We came home and son opened his cards and pressies.

We have had a really lovely couple of days though I must say I had tears in my eyes when he opened his cards and presents

Hi Andrea,

Yes we've had a lovely few weeks :D

I just wish he wasn't so far away, we can't even go and visit for a day really as it takes about 5 hours to get there.

We miss him terribly when he isn't here. He is so easy going and friendly and such good company. He and Hannah are the best of mates as well so she feels it badly when he goes back.

He should hopefully be finishing for the summer at the end of May so will be home from then right through til the end of September, so that's something to look forward to.

How are you and your family?

Love Kate xx

The nice thing though Kate is the quality of the time you all share together - you can't put a price on that can you mate. :yesyes:

I am getting there Kate - still off work and on new drugs so fingers crossed I avoid an op.

Got pains in all my joints at the moment so need to get something for that but I will rattle if I have any more drugs!

Good to hear from you again

Hi Piglet :D Yes it is soooo lovely when we all spend time together, just makes me sad when he isn't here

Andrea, yes the time IS flying. I actually can't believe that he has been at Uni for 7 months now!

Glad your family and yourself are well :)

Nic, I've been following your progress and am sorry to see you are still off work. I really hope the new drugs work for you and that it will prevent you needing an operation.

Is the joint pain connected to your problems or something different? I'm also suffering with bad joint pains, in hands and wrists, back, hips and neck. Haven't bothered going to doc's though

Look after yourselves everyone :D
