...and i'm feeling worse!

After my weekend of high anxiety (re my last two posts) the GP is sending me to see a ENT specialist, i was ok with this until he said he would 'Fast Track' it!!! I asked him if he thought i had anything nasty and he said "no, but to bring up a small amount of blood needs looking at".

He has given me a script for a nasel spray, i don't know if that's gonna help at all as my sinuses are not contantly full, it's just now and again throughout the day.

I have made an appt to see a dentist tomorrow morning, i'm in a state over that to!

For those of you that have seen a ENT specialist can you tell me what to expect on a 1st visit....thank you

My anxiety is sky high please can someone reply.

Also has anyone used the nasel spray Beconase and will it help to get rid of this horrid feeling in my ears??

Any replies would be most welcome.

Thanks

Yes. i have been to the ENT three times recently. They examine your mouth, your throat, your ears - with much more exotic instruments than a doctor has so it seems much more thorough. They may well but a fibre optic camera down your nose to have a look on a screen (not painful but very weird feeling - makes your eyes water a bit). They then have a look around the nasal cavity and down to your throat and make you make a high pitched noise to see your voice box.

The GP will want you to see an ENT because sinsuses can bleed due to chronic infection or irritation. It won't be sinister they are just being thorough. He's probably fast-tracked it because he knows you are frightened and need to have things done asap. MY GP sent me because I kept getting blood coming out of my nose - not nose bleeds as such but bloody mucus.

Turns out - nothing wrong. And the ENT guy was really nice too - and they are so thorough in their examinations that you come out feeling as if there's nothing they could have missed.

Don't panic. He's just being quick because of your worries... and you'll feel a lot better afterwards... xxx

And forgot to add - yes I've used Beconase - very good at clearing blocked tubes... so might help your ears.:yesyes:
