Hi
Everyone - i have just finished my CBT coarse - it has been good, made me realise that I need to own this anxiety.
Basically the course went as follows - one to one for 6 to 8 sessions with the therapist, then 6 - 2 hour sessions in a group, which was basically going through notes on various parts of negative/positive thinking, anxiety management, assertiveness etc. There was also group discussions etc
Anyone else had this sort of help and how was it divised for you.
The person running the coarse spoke to me and said what I need to try and do is try to not think too much - basically I try and rationalise this, which adds to the anxiety.
Finally I am taking certain stress reliving supplements, including St Johns Wort - anyone else have success with this, how long does it take to get into your system and what is a good dose to take daily.
Cheers all
Mick

well done mick!

I cant offer any help or advice on herbal supplements beacuse there are so many, I do know however that St Johns wort doesnt mix with prescriprion drugs because I cant take it with my blood pressure medicines.
Meg will know she knows all!

Don't mix SJW with anything withouit checking it out carefully, it has a string of interactions but if you're not on anything else it can be brilliant

The dose etc all depends on brand and hypercin ratio so check out www.sjwinfo.org , they keep far more up to date on this than I do.

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.
