I Went To Town !

I think it deserves it's own thread !

Tonight at 10pm (Yes i know it's a crazy time) I walked for 20 mins into town.

The journey did reach a high panic peak as i walked down the highstreet as my body wasn't used to the sights and sounds but once I got to the town centre I calmed down slightly and felt like I was floating around.

I had a look at some the shops displays and took afew photos.

I then went to the beach (I live on the coast) and walked right up to the Sea and stared into the black horizon.

I turned around to look at the traffic going accross the seafront and I really couldn't believe I was there. It was very emotional.

I'll write more on my blog when I have regained strength as for now I am mentally shattered.

Thank you all so much for the support upto now. It's really helped me get to where I am, and I hope in turn I am helping you by proving agoraphobia can be cured and is not something you will have for the rest of your life.

Keep going because you sound like you are doing really well !
I am finding the more I am going out the easier it is getting to be, despite sometimes getting panicky feelings, which I deal with then and there. My confidence is building up the more I get out too.
