Please Help

I have to have an ecg in two weeks time because I keep having sexures And Blackouts. Iam really scared because I don't know What an ECG is or what it is supposed to do. Does It hurt? Does It invole needles of any kind?
And what Is an ECG for?
Iam so wNancy81orked up an confused about this whole procedure just want to ring up a cancell It. On top of That I have A Phobia of Hospitals as well which is making thigs worse and even more stressfull for me.
Can any body please answer my questions ajnd put my mind at rest please?

It doesn't hurt though at all.

ECG - is not painful at all.
All it is, is little sticky things put over your chest and it takes a reading of your heart. That's it. No needles. No pain. No nothing :)
