Actually that's funny Mirry, my mum started with anxiety mid 40's she's now 75 and I would say in the last 15 years she's been not been too bad at all.

So maybe there is something in that. Or it could be we don't get so many folk over the age of 60 on here as they aren't big on computers (sorry to generalise - but don't know anyone over the age of 65 with a computer).

Love Piglet:)

"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.

Hi Mirry
In answer to your question I would say without a doubt YES!
I am actually menopausal and my cycles have been all over the place for the past few years.
I always know when a period is coming up, because I start getting unrealistic worries, and if I were to have a panic attack that would be the time.
I think once the menopause is all over our mood evens out, and we become more predictable in the way we react.
I am definitely hoping that is so, because the menopause is no picnic!

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.
How big is your gallery ?

Just thought I would tell you that all last week I was certain that i had symptoms of a serious illness. I spent the whole time looking symptoms up on google and frightening myself to death.
I was so hyped up, and I kept telling myself to stop feeding my anxiety, but i kept being drawn back to look some more
The fear is indescribable, and it all feels so real!
I realise that most of my fears start or escalate at that certain time of the month. Sanity just goes out of the window.
Suddenly I was over it, and now I feel so stupid.
I do have a minor medical problem which can be quickly sorted out,but last week I was certain I had something really serious.
I know that no matter how hard i try not to let it-at some point it will happen again.
Its funny, but I have always had fears of serious illness at that time, along with a strong urge to shop!:D
Every cloud has a silver lining i suppose

Hi there

Noticed the post about PMT and panic attacks. The most recent of my anxiety started about six weeks ago and around this time I realised that my period was late, about two weeks in fact. I have to say that the time around my period was awful! Then last week my period started and so did the panic and anxiety. I have to say that my period pains were completely awful, so painful and then on top of that I had the panic and anxiety. I am not sure if the two are connected, but it does appear to be that way.

My period has finished and I am feeling slightly better than last week. Registered for college today!
