Hi All
Some of you are aware that my gran passed away on the 23rd, her funeral is tomorrow. She was 99 and only 2 months and 1 day away from her 100th.
She was the most amazing gran ever, she even looked like the grans in the childrens story books.
I wanted to write all this down as i dont think i will be able to talk tomorrow as i wanted to during the service.
Even in her last few hours, she never forgot her manners, who can saythat about people these days. She never swore, drank or smoked and religously used baby lotion on her face to prevent wrinkles :)
She never told any of her kids, us grandchildren or great grandchildren off, never complained about the mess and always had ideas to entertain us.
I cant help but smile wheni think of her, she was funny and loving, i have never and will never meet anyone like her again.
My mum had her come live with us for the past 19 yrs, my mum is another lady that i am in ore of, she is so stong. She sufferred with agrophobia for 16 yrs, never leaving her house, but for the past 5 yrs she has been amazing, to the point now that she is never in, we even had to get her a mobile phone as we cud never find her :) , sadly she now feels all alone, my dad passed away 4 yrs ago and her brother 3, her dad died 19 yrs ago. Iwant to be so strong for her yet she's the one that is consoling me and my sister and brother. My mum said to me the other day, Now is time to start my life, after all these years looking after my gran and dad i think she deserves it, she is my inspiration - if she can do this, so can i.
Sorry to waffle but i needed to share with you, my wonderful family.
Thank you reading this and sorry for any spelling mistakes
