Hi I'm new here

Hi everyone, I found this site almost a year ago and it's taken me this long to get the courage join up to post anything.
I was diagnosed with GAD about a year ago by a neurologist, after I went to him with odd symptoms that could easily be assiciated with MS, e.g. sensation of cold water droplets all over me, numbness, tingling, etc (anyone else had this?). A clear MRI result was a big relief but it doesn't make the symptoms go away. Aside from the nerve sensations I also have terrible social anxiety meaning I hardly ever socialise outside of work and get very panicky in any unfarmiliar social situation. I realise now that it's become a big problem and its something I have to overcome. So i'm hoping this site may help me, and it would be great to know that I'm not the only one with these odd symptoms.

Hello and welcome

Your story is same to mine. I started off with numbness in face, pins and needles also in hands. Numb arms and legs. I went to neurologist and he said was anxiety and had a clear mri scan. Since this i have started CBT, have u tried this? It certainly has helped me so far to deal with it.
Go to your docs and see if available in your area.

I also have had numbness & tingling due to anxiety. I also have social anxiety. I have found that joining this site has helped me so much - I have been able to go out places that I thought that I would never have been able to.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.:) and hi Tink, what is CBT? I'm intrigued. My doctor & neurologist seem to have given up since having the clear MRI result, telling me I probably have GAD, and as for the sensations of having cold water dropped all over me they've just given up because they've never heared of it.
