Hi
My name is Stephen. Im 29 (refusing to turn 30 ever) and have suffered from anxiety disorder for 10 years and depression for 5. I have been taking paroxetine for nearly 10 years, with a few failed attempts to come of it several years ago.
Last month I lost my job of the last 7 years (due to so many extended periods off due to depression). I have applied to go back to uni for a post grad and looking forward to this as i view it as a bit of a frsh start. My main worry is that i now have 4 months till then to get in a physical and mental shape suitable for doing a uni course.
I have found myself sinking into the old routines of sleeping all day and being awake at nite, rarely leaving the house and getting no physical exercise. I have seen so ma doctors, specialists etc over the years and read in depth on depression on axiety and depression so I know what is required to get better - the problem as many of you will know is doing it (the lack of motivation, energy completely incapaciating). I guess joining this forum i hope that chatting to others will inspire me, provide new ideas and help get ready for the start of uni and my new life
Anyone currently off work or jobless, I would appreciate advice on motivation for getting out of bed, maintaining a productive routine etc
Thanks All
