So now that I am a member of the palpitation club I just wonder how often other people feel them? It's only been over the past couple of weeks that they have become a problem and I am getting checked by my doctor but they seem to come more and more often now. I am afraid to lay down because that is when I seem to feel them. I try being calm and breathing deep but I always have the anxiety that the next heartbeat with be an unusual one. How does one ever get over this or learn to live with it and not have it consume your life??

Hi Alley,
Welcome to the Palpitation Club LOL, but I could think of much better clubs to join!!!!

Seriously, you will get plenty of reassuring replies on here and also your doctor will be able to reassure you. I am one of those silly people who have let them take over my life and I can't get out of the cycle of being scared of them, no matter how much reassurance I get. DON'T BE LIKE ME, LISTEN TO WHAT THE OTHERS TELL YOU AND IGNORE THE PALPITATIONS AS BEST AS YOU CAN.

Wish I could practice what I preach.

Take care,
Love, Linda.x

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.
