pain around left eye

I used to get this years ago in late spring when it was a sunny day and very bright and I had been outside alot and its always left eye and its from inner corner going under really down side of nose and its a very sharp pain. I haven't had it for years but today I was in a cafe and the sun was reflecting on some glass that really blinded me a couple of times and about hour later the pain started.

years ago I could only get rid of it if I shut my eyes for about half an hour and laid down. Painkillers don't help much.

Just wondered if anyone else ever get this or what might be causing it.
