Reflux- Poll

I'm interested to know how many sufferers of Reflux,Oesophagitis, GERD, GORD, LPR etc are/were aware of heartburn symptoms before they were diagnosed. I believe there is such a thing called 'silent reflux' which some sufferers of GERD etc have. I personally don't have heartburn but my doc says I have GERD.

I know many of us are now on medication which may be relieving the symptoms, this poll is more about the point before feeling better.
