sleeping tablets on the plane

again with the fear of flying

a therapist I saw recently said that to help me, I could take Xanax on fights and if I needed to, then just take a sleeping pill to knock me out (I also have diazepam prescribed by doc)

has anyone else done this? or tried sleeping tabs alone on the plane - I have a 12 hour flight coming up and I woud just LOVE to sleep for 10 hours of it (at least) but does it last that long? does it work???

i had a long flight a cpl of years ago i went to mauritius i didnt have sleeping tabs but did have valium i made it there so they did actually work for me i didnt sleep though none of the way
