Worried about a friend - Fever & "Wrong" Lymph Nodes..

Soo, a friend of main was sick today, He stayed home & went to the doctor because he had a fever.
Later he told me that things were wrong, the doctor said the Lymph Nodes in his neck were "Wrong" & That they had "Dots" (or something like that) on them, Together with the fever...
Now im very worried about him, I guess my HA is not only influenced by my own body but by others aswell. Since my dad had Blood Poisoning on his arm a few weeks ago & I get worried. And my little brother had a nasty cough & said he felt sick and I got worried aswell.
But this is probably the worst, Fever, "Bad" lymph nodes compared to the according to the doctor normal ones that I have...
He got a medicine prescription and has to go see a Throat, Nose & Ear Specialist in 10 days...

Is there any explanation of this beeing nothing all to serious such as the C-Word?

I think alot of things can happen to lymph nodes hun.
If you have any sort of infection,your lymphnodes can swell etc.. I don't understand what you mean with the dots though. Is that in his throat or something? Does he have a sore throat or anything?

Well thats all I really heard, He said that his Lymph Nodes were "Wrong" according to the doctor and they had small hard dots ontop of em, just in his neck, I'd google it but that would probably drive me crazy once again so...

Oh no don't google..the reason I was asking about sore throat and stuff is cos along with fever etc it could have been strep throat which is common but I dunno. I hope all is alright my love.
