Hi everyone, I'm a newbie too. I'm joining this forum because I want to help fellow sufferers. I have recently cured myself of GAD using a number of different techniques but specifically using cognitive behavioural techniques.
I found a good therapist, recommended by my doctor and after about 4 sessions I found my anxiety levels really under control. I just want to shout about it really because it's given me a new lease of life. I will take a look at the forum and see who else has similar challenges to the ones I faced. My therapist also recommended (apart from the CBT) relaxation techniques, so I now do yoga once a week, t'ai chi (whenever I can) and meditation. Anything really which calms the mind. :)
