i have posted a couple of times over my eyes and i am back to stressing again about them.i wear glasses and had a small change in script in december so obviously they would have noticed any major problem then, particularly when you bear in mind this was my 4th visit to the opticians in 18 months and each time they said there was nothing wrong apart from needing glasses.it is difficult to say what is wrong with them it seems some things are too bright and sometimes have a halo around them particulary in the sun and i focus on this all the time literaly 24/7.its making me feel sick and breathless not anything serious just bought on by worry. i know eyes change with age but are these things anxiety related ? i would be grateful for any advice.like i said earlier i have been to the opticians a lot over various percieved problems over the last few years and each time they have said everything is normal for.and i kind of know that if i go back that once they have pointed out that this is my 5th vist in 2 years and 2nd in 6 months that there is nothing wrong with them.do other people experience this? are these signs of anxiety.please post if you can help. Thanks Choliver.

sensitivity to light and night blindness (difficulty with your eyes adjusting to darkness) is often caused by a vitamin A deficiency. though i must add, it is not common for a person on a stable diet to be deficient, but vitamin A is VITAL for good eye health. If you want to make sure it is not due to a deficiency (as no tests can be done for this), it is advisable to eat half a raw carrot a day. This will cover your entire bodily requirement of the vitamin (hence the origin of the expression "carrots make you see in the dark", often told to us by our parents as small children).

Hi there
Can you not get you GP to refer to you to The Eye Hospital for further investigation. The specialists would certainly be able "to get to the bottom of it" in my experience with their very sophisticated equipment and their wider knowledge
All the best
John
