giddiness

Does anyone get like giddiness in their chest or feeling of excitement? I have been having this the last month of so, when I started sertraline. Do you know if that goes away after starting meds? I just found out that raises your blood pressure, but started bp meds 2 days ago...

I was so glad when I saw your post. I've had this feeling often over the years - it comes and goes. It's a bit like butterflies in your tummy or a feeling of great excitement or anticipation or even dread?

At first it really worried me but I found it so difficult to explain to the psychologist. Giddiness in your chest is a good description!

Because I've had it for so many years now I've got used to it and it doesn't put me into a panic anymore. It's obviously just a symptom of anxiety. I don't think it's a side effect of any medication as I've had it when I was taking nothing at all.

I know that if I do some physical exercise it normally helps.
I would love to find out exactly what the cause is though. Anyone have any answers?
