I am new to the site and desperate to gather information in regards to the drug Duloxetine. My 18 year old daughter is currently on 120mgs of the stuff daily , yes 120mgs!! Following a meeting with her Phyc yesterday he appears to believe that because she is having such dreadful side effects it is fine to withdraw of this medication after being on it since Jan 2007. My daughter is zombie like, she has lost so much weight and despite the amount of medication her mood anxiety and self harm continues. If she eats even just a little she goes into a drunk like state ,giggling then within the hour will be so low she cries until she sleeps. I am very scared that this Doctor dosent know what he is doing by suggesting that she withdraws from this med after reading the what withdrawal can do (violent suicide) can anyone offer any advise please thank you.
