help - cant deal with constipation and panic

Sorry about this but have been constipated for most of week , can eventually go but not straight away. Do suffer from ibs and wonder if this is a sympton , also have really bad wind.
Feel terrible.
Also worried i may have damaged my bowel by straining and also not going straight away.

Have a read of the IBS page on the left as it will help. It also suggests foods to eat and ones to avoid.

Yes these are both symptoms of IBS.You are obviously not getting enough fibre.It can also be due to not enough water. The only thing you may do by straining is give your self piles.But you would know about this if that were to happen..Take care Sue x

lately i have been constipated every week before and during my period.
its really common and can be a side affect from birth control.
