So,
I've had health concerns for the past year. It was a constant, heart pounding, panic attack causing worry. My main fear was that I have AIDS. But then I started using self affirming thoughts, telling myself that I am completely healthy and well. On top of that I started running daily, and eating better (and I'm still trying to quit smoking!) but man, I feel BETTER. Much better than I have in years. Despite my extreme fear of finding out that I have AIDS I went and got the test, on a whim so I couldn't whimp out. And it was negative.
Moral of the story: Self affirming thoughts work wonders.
