Hi there, as you can see I am new to this forum and I have been experiencing some of the symptoms told on here. At the moment I have what I can describe as a wave sensation in my chest/heart area almost every 5 mins. Its quite hard to explain the feeling, but its like (this sounds a bit silly) when you are watching an emotional film and you try and surpress your feelings, or like when you are watching your child in their first nativity - like a wave of proundess. Does anyone else have similar feelings. I also get the lump in the throat, where it feels like something is stuck and there's nothing there.

Thanks for reading

Hales :)

Welcome -I think you're experiencing waves of real emotion. Go with whatever it needs - a good cry often helps release it all and clears you for a while.

If you don't release this pent up emotion it will escape another way eg in panic later on

Thanks guys,

Sometimes you think it all sounds trivial to people who don't experience these kind of things. But it really feels real to us. I constantly think about this sensation, to the point where I thought I might have something wrong with my heart! This forum is great in the fact that we are not alone.

Thankyou. :D

Thankyou everyone.

Just knowing that I not going insane is a relief. Having two boys, a young labrador pup and trying to start a business all add up to one thing I suppose....STRESS!!! But I always thought I could handle everything, then your body tells you something else. Looking forward to the kids going back to school, so I can have a bit of time to myself.

Thanks for your responses.
