hello my name is simon , 42 years old

i have suffered from anxiety/panic attacks GAD social phobia - whatever you want to call it , i have the lot - for 15 - 20 years - used alcohol for many years to cope - ended up an alcoholic too - sober & recreational drug free now for 6 years

i have tried loads of meds for my anxiety :-citalopram,venelefaxine,dotheipin,paroxetine,amytr yptilline, buspirone,
quetiapine, respiridone are the ones i remember

the only one that worked was diazepam (the person who develops a non
addictive version of this should be deified).

i am now tapering off diazepam very slowly - down to 9mg a day and have just been given the "next great hope" pregabalin - 150mg per day

i'm interested in anyones experiences - but particularly those who have used
pregabalin

Hello :)

I have no idea about the drugs I have been on? Maybe half a dozen... It is irrelevant!!!

What matters in life is tolerating others!!! that is my hurts speaking...

If u r a good person, no one will ever think any different :)

Hi simon i was put on pregabalin about 2 months ago, i'm on 200mg a day. It works for me so far but past experience of being on long term meds tells me to wait and see. It even stopped me dreaming for the first month(i stress when i'm asleep too) but there gradually seeping back in.
Hope it works for you, good luck:)
