The question is obviously... can I drink, take hayfever medicine or take ibuprofen without a) making the cipralex less effective or b) having extra side effects.

Obviously, cipralex = anti-depressant, booze = depressant. I'm sure that can't be a good thing, but do I have to remain completely teetotal (as I have been for four months now)...

I've been on it for 5 years and I drink as normal. I do get worse anxiety after i have over indulged, and I would never touch red bull/lucazade/shots or anything with caffine. But I drink wine and beer as normal. My doctor advised me this was ok as long as I didn't go over the top. I don't know about the other two I'm afraid cos I don't take them!

I asked a pharmacist about ibruprofen and she said I had to get permission from my doctor to take it. I haven't done it yet though, just take paracetamol if I need something.
